Adventurers has been going since 1964 and sits in the Kent Downs between Maidstone and Sittingbourne. The site mixes woodland walks with open grassland for sunbathing, and the pool has a sunbathing patio and a shallow paddling end for children. The sauna and the showers are heated with wood from the club's own trees.
It is a small, family-run members' club rather than a holiday site. Members can rent a seasonal tent pitch and stay through the summer, but caravans can't be accepted. Day visits are only offered to people who want to join, and new members come for three visits before the committee decides.

Where it is
The pin marks the area, not the exact site: like many private clubs, Adventurers Sun Club shares its address when you book or arrange a visit.
