Sunnybroom is a members' club founded in 1964 on the site of an old croft in rural Aberdeenshire, about half an hour from Aberdeen. The stone cottage has been turned into an open-plan clubhouse with a wood-burning stove, a kitchen, a glass-fronted sun room, toilets and a shower, powered by solar panels and supplied with water from a natural spring. There is also a wood-burning sauna.
The grounds have a large camping field and sunbathing lawns, and visitors can bring a tent, caravan or motorhome. The club holds monthly social nights. The area is good for hill walking, wildlife, castles and whisky trails. Contact the secretary by phone or email before visiting.
