Invicta was set up in 1946 and sits in about five acres of woods and lawns between Dover and Deal, a short drive from the ferry port. The pool is warmed by the sun, and the members' pavilion has a self-catering kitchen, pool table, library and fireplace. There are courts for miniten, badminton and boules, outdoor table tennis, a children's play area, and a barbecue and pizza oven.
It is a non-commercial members' club that also takes naturist visitors for short breaks and longer stays, with a handful of tent pitches and caravan or motorhome spaces (no hook-ups). Visitors need to come from a recognised naturist club, be known to members, or be joining, and every visit is arranged with the secretary first. Children are welcome.
