Lancashire Sun is a long-established club owned by its members, set in ten acres of secluded woodland within half an hour of Preston, Southport and the M6. Sheltered lawns surround an open-air solar-heated pool with a decked sun patio, and there is a hot tub, an eight-person sauna, two miniten courts and a large petanque area.

Visitors can come for the day, pitch a tent, bring a tourer or motorhome, or rent Daisy Cottage. The clubhouse has a pool table, darts and a big kitchen, and the social calendar includes family days, quiz nights and the North West petanque tournament. The facilities are largely step-free.
