Nottingham Sun Club traces its roots to 1939 and occupies around five acres of mature grounds deep inside Newstead Abbey Park, reached by gated private roads. It has a covered heated pool used from spring to autumn, a refurbished sauna, courts for minitennis, tennis, volleyball, boules and shuffleboard, two pavilions with cooking and games, and a large outdoor play area for children.
The club keeps a balance of families, couples and single members. Visitors are welcome in the season by appointment only, with 48 hours' notice by email. Campers can bring tents, trailer tents, folding caravans and motorhomes (not full-size caravans), with optional electric hook-ups.
