Oaklands is a members' naturist club in a small oak coppice screened by conifers, in semi-rural Leicestershire within ten minutes of the M1 and M69 junction. It has a sunbathing lawn, a swimming pool, a sauna, a clubhouse with members' kitchen and showers, and courts for badminton, miniten, shuffleboard and pétanque. There is no bar or restaurant, so members bring their own food and drink.
Newcomers are never asked to undress at the gate and can take things at their own pace. To join, you fill in an application form and the membership secretary arranges a chat and a tour; extra visits can be arranged before deciding. Under-18s are covered by family membership.
