Shap Lido is a heated open-air pool in the village of Shap, on the eastern edge of the Lake District. For several summers it has hosted naturist evening swims as part of the Great British Skinny Dip, held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from June to early September, with the water heated to around 28C.
The sessions are hosted by the lido and promoted by British Naturism's North West region, which has also paired some of them with clothing-optional fell walks. Tickets are bought in advance.
