Silverglades is the site of Morecambe Bay Naturists, a club formed in 1988. It covers ten acres of sun lawns, private glades and woodland on a south-facing hillside near Silverdale, inside the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape. There are no buildings, electricity or mains water, so visitors need to be self-sufficient.
The club has no waiting list and you can become a full annual member after one day visit, which then covers all visits and camping. Overnight stays in tents or small vans are for annual members. It is a short drive from junction 35 of the M6 and also reachable by train, and there is a yearly open day in late spring or early summer.
Facilities
- Sun lawns
- Woodland glades
- Tent and small van pitches (members)
