White Rose Club was founded in 1944 and is owned and run by its members. Its 11-acre woodland site at Flaxton, between York and Malton, has an outdoor heated pool, a sauna, a woodland trail, sun lawns and a terrace, plus miniten, boules and lawn darts. The pavilion has a bar, pool table, darts and table tennis, and there is a children's play area and an accessible shower suite.
Day visitors are welcome, and there are tent pitches, a limited number of caravan and motorhome pitches with hook-ups, and two static caravans to rent. It makes a handy base for York, the Dales, the Moors and the coast. New visitors register online first and show photo ID at the gate. Pets are not allowed apart from assistance dogs.
