Yorkshire Sun Society has been on its site at Woody Carr on the north-east edge of Hull since 1932. The 26 acres take in woodland and waterside walks, and the facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a centrally heated clubhouse with a licensed bar, a large self-catering kitchen, miniten and petanque courts.

Visitors can come for the day, camp, bring a caravan or motorhome to one of the hard-standing pitches, or stay in the club's static caravan or yurt. Weekends are the liveliest time, with pool volleyball and occasional discos or entertainers. All visits are booked by email in advance and visitors need photo ID and proof of address. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are allowed. Note there are no visitor bookings in October 2026 because of clubhouse work.
