Greenacres Sun Club is a members' club in the Durham countryside, about seven and a half miles from Durham city. It was founded in 1953 on the site of old almshouses and now covers about five acres. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and sauna, sheltered sunbathing lawns, volleyball and badminton courts, petanque, a children's playground and a clubhouse with a licensed bar at weekends and bank holidays.
There is a flat, screened camping area with hook-ups for touring caravans and trailer tents, a modern shower block and a day visitors' centre next to the pool. Members of naturist clubs, British Naturism or other INF-affiliated clubs can visit by prior arrangement. Pets are not allowed, apart from guide dogs. It is well placed for Durham, Beamish and Hadrian's Wall.

How to visit
Visitors from naturist clubs come by prior arrangement; prospective members apply via the contact form, visit twice and have a home visit.
Single visitors: The club's visitor information mentions couples and families who belong to a naturist club, so single visitors should contact the club first.
Rules and prices change, so check the venue’s website before you go.
Where it is
The pin marks the area, not the exact site: like many private clubs, Greenacres Sun Club shares its address when you book or arrange a visit.
